Your Body
Wednesday, December 31st, 2008Drinking water is so important for good health. Did you know that your body is estimated to be about 70 percent water? You certainly need water to provide the means for nutrients to your body. So how much water do you need to drink for a healthier you? A pretty good estimate is to take your body weight (lbs.) and divide that number in half. This will give you the number of ounces of water per day that you need to drink. A little bit of the water you need comes from the food we eat, but the majority we need from glasses of water. It may be a little tough to drink enough water on a busy day. Make sure you have water handy at all times by keeping a bottle for water with you when you are working, traveling, or exercising. If you get bored with plain water, remember, you can always add a bit of lemon or lime for a touch of flavor.
