Friday, January 25th, 2008

Living to a ripe old age is by far the number one goal of many people.  The question becomes though, whatin hte world do you do to live that long.  It’s actually very simple really. To live to be 100, you must smoke every day in most cases at least 4 to 8 packs of cigars or cigarrettes per day.

WHAT? You say you don’t believe me.  Well, let me challenge you, stop smoking today and for the next 50 years and let’s just see how far you make it without lighting up?  : )

Diabeties and Heart Disease

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

It might be faster to jump from a building.  Tryign to figure out what I mean by that? Well, if you ever saw the movie “Lean On Me”, you’ll know.  A high school principal takes a kid on drugs up to the top of the school and tells him to jump because if he was using drugs, he was slowly killing himself so rather than waste time, he shoudl do it quickly versus slowly.

The same is true with you.  If you are a smoke, chances are you are a drinker even if it is occassionally.  If you smoke and drink you probably don’t eat healthy either. Well guess what? Research says you are 10 times more likely to develop heart disease and diabeties at a younger age.  But why wait, if you are going to do yourself in, why not follow the example in lean on me, no, not jump from a building but rather get your life together and win.

How to Quit Using Tobacco

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

Here’s my secret formula for ultimate success.

1. Decide - You must first decided to quit

2. Set a Date - You must establish a deadline

3. Choose a plan - You need a clear plan of action to follow

4. Resist temptation - You must identify what you will do instead of smoking.  A habit can only be replaced by another habit.

The Fear of Death

Saturday, January 19th, 2008

Why do people start smoking?  If you think abotu it, that is a very good question but I have an even better one.  Why do people stop? I think what you will find is that most stop to not die but rarely to people stop so they may simply live. Rather than seeing quiting as a chore that must be accomplished so you don’t bite the big one, stopping the smoking habit should be seen in terms of teh enhancement of the quality of life it will provide.

So, is it the fear of death or the joy of life that motivates you?

With all the talk of American companies outsourcing and downsizing, we often think that only business can do such things but that is not so.  It is possible for you to downsize.  Perhaps you can downsize in pants or perhaps you can downsize your dresses.
