I almost needed a Colon Cleanser

Saturday, December 29th, 2007

Hey Guys,

It’s been some time since my last post and for that I am sorry.  I know many of you rely on this blog to serve as a constant update into what is happening in the world of big tobacco and weight loss.  I have been slow to write because for the past few days, I have been flat on my back with a severe cold.  It got so bad, I actually thought I might need a colon cleaner to clean out my system.  Anyway, I am on the road to recovery and you can look for more posts and articles soon.

Out With The Old in With the New

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

In the past, the medical epidemic was cancer caused by years and years of smoking. Now there is a new epidemic that is caused by years of unhealthy eating habits and decades of little to know exercise.  Obesity in America has become a major problem.  If we can reverse this trend, we can see our overall health care costs reduced.

Education is the Key to Healthy Living

Monday, December 17th, 2007

To secure your future, you must use education as a prevention mechanism.  Consider this idea for a moment.  What if all the revenue generated by the taxes on fast foods and tobacco sales went to increased funding for prevention programs? Sound crazy…maybe, maybe not.

Smoking Adds Harmful Toxins to Your Body

Sunday, December 16th, 2007

Some years ago there may have been a debate about the issue but today in the year 2007, the facts are clear.  Smoking adds harmful toxins to your body that can have long lasting negative effects on your health.  Researchers have discoverd many devestating chemicals left in people’s lungs, colon and heart after years and years of smoking.

Some experts agree that the poisons introduced to the body through smoking are as deadly as many of the illegal drugs.  Until recently, there was really no sign of relief for those individuals that had begun to smoke but stopped.  These people saw the error in their ways and recognized the detrimental long term effects smoking would have on their quality of life but were unable to uncover a way to reverse the effects of their years of smoking.  Until now, there was not a solution available.

Today a solution does exist for the millions of men and women who have quit smoking and desire to cleanse themselves permanently from the deadly toxins found in cigarets. Many reasearchers agree that to adequately remove toxins from the body, individuals must detoxify their system.  Natural colon cleansers like the widely popular Dual Action Cleanse are essential to complete colon health and purification. The best solution is and always will be to not smoke however if you have been smoking and are looking for a safe way to cleanse your body, consider a full body detox.

A Major Attack on Lower Income Americans

Saturday, December 15th, 2007

Have you ever wondered why the prices of healthy foods are more expensive than those of non healthy foods. A greasy hamburger from one of these fast food places cost a little over $.99 these days while fresh grapes cost almost $2.99 a pound. Cigarettes are the same way. Have you ever considered that these large corporations have an interest in keeping the price of the bad stuff low and the price of healthy living high? Wonder why that is? How can we expect to make proper decisions regarding our bodies health if we are never given a financial opportunity to purchase foods with proper nutritional value?

A Bad Health Combination to Avoid

Friday, December 14th, 2007

There is one combination that you should avoid this holiday season.  The combination of smoking, drinking and over eating is a terrible combination that can lead to poor health. Studies have shown time and time again that by smoking, drinking and eating poorly, you are 5 to 10 times more likely to be at risk for heart disease and some cancers.  Give yourself a break and take better care of yourself this new year. A proper nutritionally based diet with a firm exercise program is a great way to start.

My First Experience With Smoking

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

It is hard for me to believe that it was so long ago but about 20 years ago is when I tried my first and last cigarrette. My brother had a case of Newports underneath his bed and I found them.  I could not resist.  I had to know what people were so excited about. I opened a box and pulled out a cigar.  I snuck outside to the backyard and lit up.  After about two puffs I was done.  It was the worse tasting thing ever.  If you have never taken a smoke, don’t.  Trust me, it is not worth it.

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007
